Jiao Luo

Jiao Luo is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Jiao’s research examines the social strategies firms adopt to influence their business environment, focusing specifically on the social impact of these strategies. She also studies the comparative efficiency of not-for-profit organizations and how they compete and collaborate with for-profits. Her research has appeared at top journals including the Strategic Management Journal and Administrative Science Quarterly and was nominated for several best paper awards. Jiao serves on the Editorial Board for the Strategic Management Journal, and she is currently the Representatives-at-Large for the Strategic Management Society's Competitive Strategy Interest Group as well as the Stakeholder Strategy Interest Group. Jiao earned her Ph.D. in Management from Columbia Business School, and a Master's degree in Public and Economic Policy from London School of Economics and Political Science.
